Principles of Life

Treat others as you want to be treated.

If there isn't one thing I've learned in this life, it's "Treat others as you want to be treated." This simple life principle can go a long way. This is the difference between people that soar to the heavens and those that stay mediocre.

Fine example:

  • A customer just came to the complain and gripe about service. He was told he could pay when he checked out as long as there was a card on file. Today, my GM charged this customer because the management company said that they "did not have any money" and he needed to pay his bill. He stay was for 4 days. This man came to me (smile on my face; angry eyebrows on his) and said she charged my card. The money cleared the bank, but I specifically told her I would pay at check out because I'm a government employee and wasn't sure if the work would be completed in time. I told her regardless I would pay on the scheduled check out day because I need the receipt to give to the state so they can reimburse me. I was not supposed to be charged with my personal account. I have to come back in 3 weeks and because she was so rude and did not even notify me of the transaction. i'm not coming back and I'm suggesting that this place is taken off of the recommended places to go to. Then on top of that he says the lady hung up in his face.
I listened, apologized, told him that this practice was out of the ordinary and gave him a receipt showing what was charged. Angry eyebrows went away.

Treat others as you want to be treated. When you are rude you get negativity in return. Be nice. it's really that simple.
